These terms govern the use of the DocAgora website and platform, operated by OXIGÉNIO BOÉMIO LDA. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. Please also read the privacy policy.
The DocAgora service is provided by OXIGÉNIO BOÉMIO LDA, a private limited company (sociedade por quotas) with its registered office at Rua do Grilo n.º 14, 1.º Dto, 1950-145 Lisboa, Portugal, registered with the Commercial Registry Office (Conservatória do Registo Comercial) under the single registration and legal entity number 519319346, with a share capital of €1,000. Contact: contact@docagora.pt. DocAgora is the trade name operated by the company.
DocAgora is a directory of healthcare professionals in Portugal and a service for managing appointment requests and calendars. OXIGÉNIO BOÉMIO LDA does not provide healthcare, is not a party to the relationship between patient and professional and does not replace a medical consultation. DocAgora is not an emergency service: in an emergency, call 112. For health advice, the SNS 24 line is available on 808 24 24 24.
Searching and viewing public profiles do not require an account. To send an appointment request, you need to create a personal account with accurate, up-to-date information. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the use of your account. Patients can delete their account at any time in their settings; professionals can request deletion by email.
The time slots shown are published by professionals. When you choose a slot, you send an appointment request: the appointment is only confirmed once the professional accepts it, and you are notified by email. The professional may decline the request or suggest another time. You can cancel an appointment in your patient area, under the conditions shown on the platform. DocAgora is free for patients: the fees shown on profiles are declared by professionals and paid directly to them, never through DocAgora.
The search assistant is an automated tool, based on artificial intelligence, that helps you find profiles. It can make mistakes: always check the profile information before sending a request. It gives no medical advice, diagnosis or medication guidance, and no appointment is made without your click and the professional's acceptance. Use of the assistant may be subject to daily limits.
The information shown on profiles (specialty, languages, time slots, prices, insurers and agreements) is declared by professionals, who are responsible for its accuracy. Confirm insurance coverage with the professional and your insurer.
Patients can review a consultation. Reviews are moderated before publication and must be truthful, respectful and free of health data or third-party data. The professional can reply publicly. We may refuse or remove content that is unlawful, offensive or contrary to these terms.
You agree to use the service in good faith and in compliance with the law: no fictitious requests, no impersonation, no automated data collection, and no attempts to bypass usage limits or security measures. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.
Professionals warrant that they hold the qualifications and professional order registration required for their practice, that their profile information is accurate and that they are solely responsible for the care they provide. They are the controller of the patient data they record on the platform; OXIGÉNIO BOÉMIO LDA processes those data on their behalf, only to provide the service, according to their instructions, with confidentiality and appropriate security measures, without using them for its own purposes, and helps them respond to patients' requests. A profile is published once it has been approved by the DocAgora team.
The Gratuito plan is free of charge. Paid plans have the price and billing period shown at the time of subscription, VAT included, and can be cancelled at any time on the Subscription page. The 14-day Premium trial is offered once per account, once the profile has been approved. Subscriptions are invoiced to the professional by OXIGÉNIO BOÉMIO LDA, with an invoice issued in software certified by the Portuguese Tax Authority (AT). DocAgora does not issue invoices to professionals' patients. Plan prices and contents are shown on the pricing page.
We strive to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability: interruptions may occur for maintenance or technical reasons. Some features are marked “Coming soon” and are not yet available. We may change features; significant changes are communicated.
OXIGÉNIO BOÉMIO LDA is liable for providing the DocAgora service in accordance with the law. It is not liable for the care provided by professionals, for the information they declare or for a missed appointment. Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to consumers by law.
The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy. Data protection officer: Jimmy Salloum Diallo, jimmydiallo@docagora.pt.
We may change these terms. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page, and significant changes are communicated before they take effect. If you do not accept them, you can stop using the service and delete your account.
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. In the event of a dispute, please contact us first at contact@docagora.pt. You can file a complaint in the electronic complaints book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico, https://www.livroreclamacoes.pt). If you are a consumer, you can turn to an alternative consumer dispute resolution entity: the list is available on the Consumer Portal (https://www.consumidor.gov.pt), including CNIACC, the National Centre for Consumer Dispute Information and Arbitration (https://www.cniacc.pt). Without prejudice to these options, disputes are submitted to the competent Portuguese courts in accordance with the law.
